Sonoma State Historic Park, Casa Grande

Dpd designed, researched, fabricated, and installed interpretive panels and bases in an historic plaza in downtown Sonoma, California. Panels were written by dpd and park staff. Illustrations by Jon Foster, bronze tactile elements by Bridget Kiemel, base design, fabrication and installation by Peter Goetzinger.

To make the panels as accessible as possible, we provided Spanish translations on the panels, and custom bronze tactile elements were attached.

Custom bases were created for each panel, and a message about an historic building that once stood there was sandblasted into the plaza
